Sam found the very first warehouse space in Cambridge that eventually became Greentown Labs.
In addition to co-founding Greentown Labs, Sam is co-founder of Promethean Power, which developed a thermal storage technology that enables cold-storage of perishable foods where there is unreliable power. One of his proudest moments in his career was to witness the first farmer chill milk in a village in India without using a diesel generator. His proudest personal moment was to have survived a camping trip with his 7-month old child!
He is the recipient of awards such as the GE Ecomagination prize (2010); Boston Globe’s Innovator of the year (2011); NASA’s Launch Energy Innovators Fellows (2012); and World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer (2012/13)
