Launch Program Coordinator
As the Launch Program Coordinator, Michela supports the Director of Strategic Partnership to plan and execute the Greentown Labs Bold Ideas Challenge, a 6-month corporate accelerator created through the ‘Greentown Launch Program.’ This program is a collaboration between Greentown Labs and Schneider Electric’s Business Incubation Initiative focused on supporting entrepreneurs in the energy sector to build viable startup ventures.
Michela graduated from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and a concentration in International Environmental Policy. She has gained experience working for several organizations addressing issues of sustainability and climate change from different angles. Most recently for Seventh Generation on the Protection for All Campaign conducting background research and providing marketing support for the compostable diaper initiative.
She is passionate about exploring ways in which climate change can be framed creatively to advance sustainability. This was most evident in her completion of an undergraduate thesis titled, “Environmental Vulnerability for Future Social Unrest: A Comparative Index,” which explored climate issues through the lens of international security.
Despite being a Massachusetts native, Michela prefers to spend her time skiing and hiking in the Green Mountains of Vermont or at any beach. She also enjoys gathering with friends to win trivia at the local bar.
