Director of the Manufacturing Initiative
Micaelah is the Director of the Manufacturing Initiative for Greentown Labs. She has developed a unique program to connect startups and manufacturers to help promote local commercialization and relationship building and to ensure the great ideas that are hatched locally get made locally. She has presented her program design and findings at: SXSWEco 2015, MForesight Clean Energy Manufacturing Consortium (in connection with DOE), and the White House Maker-to-Manufacturer Fair 2016, among others. Micaelah’s prior positions include staff at Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger, the offices of State Senator Robert O’Leary and State Senator Dan Wolf where she held roles ranging from Scheduler to Chief of Staff, and as a consultant for Berkshire Health Systems.
Micaelah received her BA from Umass Amherst and has a Master’s in Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning from Tufts University, where she focused on renewable energy, community development and electricity markets. She sits on the boards of the Political Science Advisory Board at Umass Amherst, the Center for EcoTechnology (CET), and serves as Co-Chair for the Umass Women Into Leadership (UWiL) program at Umass Amherst.
She splits her time between Boston and Pittsfield with her husband, and loves Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, traveling and the New England Patriots.
