LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR EXPANSION BY VIEWING OUR BOOKLET HERE.

Greentown Labs was founded by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs, to meet the needs of hardware-focused innovators in the clean energy sector who needed space to build prototypes while growing their businesses. In five years, we have grown from four startups sharing warehouse space, to a community of over 70 companies. Before the expansion, Greentown had been operating at over 100% capacity, while member companies had continued to grow. The demand was clear: entrepreneurs were starting companies and hiring employees, and they needed a place to turbo boost their work.

THAT’S WHY WE’VE DOUBLED THE SIZE OF OUR HEADQUARTERS RIGHT NEXT DOOR!

The new Global Center has rehabilitated and preserved a century-old industrial building in Somerville’s Union Square, transforming it from its former use as an auto repair and paint shop into a 58,000 sq. ft. Center of clean technology innovation, incubation, and education.
